“I will do nothing, I will say nothing, but if the Lord wants it, He will do it, He will arrange it.” (Mother Camino, 1940)
This simple yet profound phrase has accompanied generations of Missionaries of Christ Jesus. It is not merely a memory from the past; it is a way of living in the world, a spirituality that continues to beat strongly today.
Celebrating the 82nd anniversary of the Institute means giving thanks for a journey marked by many women who trusted, gave their lives, and followed in the footsteps of Saint Francis Xavier, wherever the mission called them.
From humble beginnings to a presence across four continents, the charism entrusted to us remains a living call: to trust, to discern, and to respond. In a world increasingly marked by fragmentation and polarization, living together while embracing our differences becomes a prophetic witness.
God continues to surprise us. God continues to be a source of newness. God continues to invite us to step out of our comfort zones and respond without reservation.
“If He wants it, He will do it.” And we continue to journey forward in hope.
